Our working hours is weekdays from 9am to 6pm. We try to get the viewings within our working hours. In some cases, we can also attend viewings outside our working hours. Please contact us to check.
ATTENTION! We do know that some days our capacity is tight. First come, first serve...
Bergenstudenten can attend house viewings for you01. Find an apartment that suits you. One way is by the advertisements at for example Finn.no, Hybel.no or Zett.no. You can also post an advertisement yourself under "housing wanted".
02. Check with the owner and ask if it is okay that we attend the viewing for you. Also ask if this is an open house viewing or not. On the open views there are often many stakeholders, and our experience is that the landlord always rents out to someone who has been present. As a general rule we therefore do not attend open viewings.
03. Send us an email with a phone number to the landlord, your phone number and email address. The landlords often find it easier to rent out to someone they know. For this reason we encourage you to create a simple presentation about yourself/yourselves. Create a Word document where you paste a picture and write some information about yourself/yourselves, see example. We'll take your presentation with us to the viewing and give it to the landlord. The presentation can enhance your chances in getting the apartment. Be sure to include your contact information, and a reference person if you have one.
04. We will call the landlord ourselves and agree on viewing time. This is to be able to operate as many tenants as possible. We will of course try as hard as we can to attend the viewing in good time before the landlord wants an answer.
05. We attend the viewing for you. Afterwards you will receive a report and photos from us. If the landlord needs an answer urgently, we can also call you after the viewing.
06. Then it is up to you to contact the landlord and agree on the terms. Remember the contract! We greatly appreciate if you'd notify us whether you got the apartment or not.
