The Norwegian Consumer Council can provide you with useful information in English. They have also made an English version of their Tenancy Agreement (contract).

Below you will find a rent contract, claim form, form of inventory and viewing guide. These documents are made in cooperation with Jussformidlingen (a student organization who offer free legal assistance). You are safe to use these documents, but unfortunately they are only in Norwegian. If you are offered a contract written in Norwegian, BergenStudenten can read it and explain its contents for you.
